At Croft, we use the Read, Write, Succeed scheme to cultivate a lifelong love for language, literacy and communication skills in primary school children.
The scheme has been developed to enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and understanding essential for lifelong learning and effective communication. The lessons cover a range of diverse, inclusive and impactful texts from well-known children’s publishers, and aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to become confident communicators and informed citizens.
The Read, Write, Succeed scheme is structured in a progressive manner to facilitate the systematic development of knowledge and skills through the primary stage.
It aims to:
- Deliver a comprehensive learning experience across reading, writing, and speaking & listening.
- Ensure every child leaves primary school as a proficient reader, writer, and confident speaker.
- Foster a love for reading through exposure to diverse, high-quality texts.
- Equip pupils with the tools to become confident communicators and informed citizens.
- Align with national curriculum objectives, supporting literacy across all subjects.
