It is also possible to contact the First Response Children’s Duty Team on 0116 305 0005 where you will be able to speak to a Social Worker about your worries or report it via the NSPCC.
The NSPCC has launched a dedicated helpline for children and young people who have experienced abuse at school, and for worried adults and professionals that need support and guidance, including for non-recent abuse. The health and safety of all children is of paramount importance at Croft Primary School. Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish. In order to do this, a wide range of measures and policies are put in place. These are reviewed every year and are available:

Operation Encompass
We are proud to be part of Operation Encompass, a national initiative that supports children and young people who may be affected by domestic abuse.
When police attend a domestic abuse incident, they notify the school’s trained Designated Safeguarding Lead before the start of the next school day. This ensures that staff who know the child best can offer immediate support, understanding, and care.
Being part of Operation Encompass allows us to:

Provide timely help for pupils experiencing difficulties.

Recognise and respond to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.

Offer a safe space and trusted adults in school.

Work closely with families and external agencies to keep children safe.
